Privacy Policy
In short: we keep only what we need to build a reading and show it to you. You can see everything we have, and you can delete it yourself.

1. What data we keep
- Account: your email address, a hash of your password (we never know the password itself), the date you signed up, and the language of the site you used.
- Orders: the product, the date and time of birth, the city and time zone, the name and gender of the person the reading is about (if you entered them), the amount and payment status.
- Readings: the text of the reading and its status.
- Technical: a session cookie so you stay logged in, and server logs with the IP address and time of each request, kept for a limited period.
We never have your card details — payments are taken by Stripe on its own page. We receive only the amount, the order identifier and the payment status.
2. Why
To compute the chart, build the reading, show it in your account, send you the emails needed to confirm your address or reset your password, take payment, and answer your support requests. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who else sees the data
The payment provider (amount and order identifier), the email service (your address and the text of a service email), a geocoding service (the city name, to obtain coordinates), and the language-model provider that turns the computed chart signals into readable text (it receives only an anonymized dossier of the reading, never your email). All of them work under contract and may not use the data for their own purposes.
4. Shared readings
If you create a “share” link, the text of that reading becomes visible to anyone who has the link. The link does not expose your email or your exact birth data. You can revoke the link from your account at any time — after that it stops opening.
5. Retention and deletion
Your account and readings are kept for as long as your account exists. Any reading can be deleted with a button in your account — it disappears from the account and from its link immediately. The whole account can also be deleted from your account page: after you confirm with your password, your email and all readings are erased and cannot be restored. Anonymized payment records are kept for as long as financial record-keeping requires. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
6. Your rights
You can view your data (it is all in your account), copy or download any reading, correct the name on a reading, delete a reading or the whole account, and revoke a shared link. If something doesn't work, write to our support email — we will answer and do it for you.
7. California residents
If you live in California, you have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request its deletion, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined in California law. To exercise these rights, use your account page or write to support@birthscript.com.
8. Cookies
One functional session cookie (httpOnly) and one cookie that remembers the site language. There are no advertising or third-party cookies on the site.
